Newton_Set

Okay, here we go. I'm a student in Edmonton Alberta, and a couple years ago I got a Newton 2100 from an older family friend of mine. He had broken his original, and sent it back to Apple. While he was waiting, he bought a laptop. Then, Apple sent him a brand-new Newton 2100 for his replacement. He no longer needed it, and stuck in in a closet. I got it off him when he found out I liked Macs.

I've never used it...I don't have any need to. I know these things are kinda collectible. This one has, for all intents and purposed, NEVER BEEN USED. I've had it turned on maybe 5 times (once in the past year), only to look at it, and like I said it wasn't used before. It has had a screen protector all its life. This thing is in pristine condition.

Does anyone wanna make a suggestion/idea/offer for it? I'm sure someone has a better use for it than sitting in my closet. It's in my old house in Toronto, and my parents called a couple days ago to ask me what I wanted to do with it. I'm need tuition money. :-( Currently, the highest offer I've had is $450 CDN, which works out to about $283.00 US or something.

Here's what I have:
-Newton 2100, plus Pen of course, with leather case
-Newton Keyboard (and serial connector) with leather case
-Dacom (I think) 56k GOLD Fax/Modem
-Software CD
-Power Adaptor and Battery Pack (works as far as I know, but no guarantees. I used the adaptor when I was fooling around with it, so the Battery might not have been used since it was bought....lol)
-Original boxes, flyers, and some manuals. I'm not sure if all the manuals are there (I don't know what came with it) but as you can see from the pic, there's a couple).

Note that the 2-tone colour of the screen is just from the refresh when I snapped the pic...it happens with all screens. This thing has probably been used a total of 10 hours.

Anyway, thanks for the help.

Sorry to all those people who emailed me about this. It's a very busy week in school, and I've been sorting through the emails to assess what I've got (and to make sure I didn't miss one). I'll get replies back out to you ASAP, I promise.
