I need two screws for a clamshell iBook motherboard (to fix a "repair" job that has gone wrong).

Since I've so far not been able to purchase these screws anywhere, I'm willing to buy a broken clamshell ibook for salvaging.

Even better would be, of course, if somebody would be able to get me just the screws I need (I could provide a detailed description, incl. photos of which screws I'm looking for, but you'd have to pretty much disassemble the whole iBook in order to get to them...)

Have you tried www.pbparts.com ? They have a large selection of random powerbook and ibook parts available. Good luck.
Yeah, about those TPS reports, didn't you get the memo?

And even it they don't have it listed on their website, you can e-mail them with the description of the screws and they could probably scrape them up from somewhere.

as suggested by malson and x user, I have contacted www.pbparts.com on Jan 2.

I sent them a description of what I needed, got a positive reply shortly afterwards, and a Fedex delivery on Jan 3. This speed is even more surprising, given that they are operating with a reduced staff until Jan 8.

The whole shopping experience has been very pleasant, and the broken iBook is fixed again.

I can wholeheartedly recommend www.pbparts.com to anybody who might find this thread because of a similar problem.
