I have an ibook I was told was built as a prototype during the development of the dual usb ibooks. the hardware test cd shows it as being a 500mhz/64mb ram/10 gig/it lists the drive as being a dvd but I havent opened it up or installed an OS so I cant confirm that its a dvd. there is no battery or ac adaptor included and the keyboard is missing the enter, delete and screen brightness down keys. it has no software installed. it should be considered as a parts machine perhaps. now for the good. the case is in excellent condition and it is unique. the outer case is "titanium" or silver colored(top and bottom) and the inner plastics-trackpad/keyboard area and screen bezel area-are translucent. the screen is very bright and there are no dead pixels. Ive run an apple hardware test cd on it and all components passed. its a very unique ibook and I had intended to use the parts on my ibook but I need to sell it to free up space. $550 firm including shipping. paypal/check. email for pictures or with questions.

update:will include a new ac adaptor at no additional cost.

its got several telling defferences from a retail ibook. the plastic bezel around the screen and the upper part of the bottom case(around the trackpad) are made of translucent plastic of the variety that was used in the clamshell ibooks. the trackpad is different as well with a beveled edge and a smoother plastic material... and there is a sticker on the bottom of the keyboard identifying it as a project build sample. if it were a mod or a paint job gone bad it would be one of the best Ive seen

I don't think you'll have much attention drawn to it without proof.
