I have a big beast of a g4 tower that frankly taking up more room than i need for what i use it for, but need a mac at home so amlooking at getting a laptop with some kind of cd-writing facility and the ability to watch DVD's and run os x.

It's an AGP G4/400 with its original 10gb hardrive and Gcard, and extra 20gb harddrive installed giving a total of 30gb, 832 mb RAM, a 19" crt monitor, an internal DVD player and external lacie f/w cd-rw. The keyboard and mouse are original adb (but i am throwing in an imate adapter so they work fine through usb). I am running jaguar 10.2.3

Basically I want the laptop to mirror the facilities of my beast, but understand that this can be done by later model g3 ibooks.

As i stated the main reason i am swapping is space, so some one may have a laptop that fits my needs and needs an expandable system with a big screen.

Let me know

I can be replied to in this thread or can be emailed at mike@gpig.co.uk(home) or m.griggs@navigatorbluemail.com(work)

cheers
