I'm wondering how much it would cost to get a digital audio (G4 466 and above) case and motherboard for. I will need a processor, 466 is fine, since I'll be upgrading it once I have the cash. I don't need an optical drive unless it's a decent DVD/CDRW, don't need ram or HDs or video card either.
What would someone sell the above for? I think I can get a decent boost going from my sawtooth G4, which I could offer as a trade (along with cash or other parts).

Thanks,

Scott

What are you looking to get out of the new system besides the 133 bus?

I had a g4/400 100 bus that I upgraded to a powerlogix dual 800

I sold it and got a g4/dual 867 133 bus

the 867 gets almost the exact same scores in most tests as the dual 800 did and with the same graphics card (Radeon 8500) almost the same FPS in everthing I play

those powerlogix cards are fast Wish i didn't waste the money on the new system, only thing I got was more noise, a Quicksilver case, and less $$ in my pocket heh

Faster system bus, which will give a boost to some of the apps that I run.
Faster AGP, which will give a slight boost to my video card, and give me the option of adding a faster video card later.
Extra PCI slot, which gives me room to add a sound card.
Misc motherboard improvements.
