I have for sale a barebones 9500. This came from a joint effort last year to win an eBay auction which included many rare mac things. My friend was low for cash so he sold it to me. Mac includes case , motherboard, and power supply. No processer , HD , or anything else. However I'll look around for any cd or floppy drives I can find as well as keyboards and mice. No way to test it but it is indeed a prototype. No label on the front of the case and I'm pretty sure there are some other things too like on the rest of the prototypes. Make an offer. My email is scmacman@sbcglobal.net. Hope to use this money to save up for a new mac after losing my iMac to my college-bound sister. If I respond to your email after a day just post here.

Whoops! Didn't read the rules. Any way I can change the title? Also I won't be insulted by low offered amounts. $40 would be ideallly minimum though.

Sorry, no pictures. I tried to get my friend with a Quicktake 200 to take a picture of it , but he says he's too busy. It's basically a 9500 without being labeled on the front. Just the Apple.

How about a free 1st issue of MacAddict to go with it. Otherwise it's going to eBay and I hate eBay.

What color is the motherboard? Apple prototypes often use red, blue and yellow motherboards. If it has a non-green motherboard, it may very well be a prototype. Here is the link to an old Apple prototype. If your 9500 is anything like this one, then it is indeed a prototype.

EDIT: It could be a prototype even if it has a green motherboard... for example:

But you should probably still provide some evidence that it's a prototype outside of the fact that there's no 9500 label. For example, that prototype 6100 has strange port cutouts, an auto-inject floppy drive, a mere 80 MB hard disk, and only 4 MB of motherboard RAM instead of 8 MB like on the shipping model. Also, it uses a 50 MHz processor instead of a 60 MHz processor.
