well an impulse buy from online to upgrade my g4 for one last hope of keeping it (I really want a dual bad) and doing research on the web said it would fit any agp graphics g4. But on sonnets page it says different and my g4 will only work with a single processor. So this is for sale new and never used it is still under it's 3 year warranty (origanly purchased in october and will have origanal reciept for warranty purpose) I will include insured shipping $350.00

well some people asked me to post a photo of it so here it is. sorry for the bad image I will post a better one soon (used my little digi cam) the orange paper is the reciept for warranty purpose. I opened the package to take the photo of what it comes with. You get the processor card and the heatsink adaptor. like I said I will take a trade for a single processor upgrade (partial trade if no l3 chach)

ok got my lazy butt to get the d30 for some better snaps

Why won't your Mac accept it? I have a 400MHz Sawtooth and am interested (I know mine will accept it...checked something a while back and mine is good for dual).

You can buy a brand new G4/800MHz processor upgrade with 2MB SD L3 Cache for $230 - $300.

as for why mine will not except it I ran the UniNorthASICChecker test on my g4 and it said it is only compatible with single processors. Some of the early g4's could only handle one processor and unlucky me...

yea as for me getting a new processor I will mostlikly get a 800 or 1ghz not sure if gigadesign or $onnet. when xlr8yourmac.com did a review of the sonnet duet 500 they had it up against the 1ghz single model and it was very close (faster in some things and slower in others) but very close. I would prefer a dual 500 to a single 800 anyday...but I am stuck with getting a single and might try to overclock the giga 800 because of the price or just get a 1ghz sonnet model.

I put the duet on ebay...
