Could you provide a tad more info on the Orange Micro SCSI->Firewire converter? Is this an external drive case?

http://www.orangemicro.com/oconverter.html

The device is about the size of a pack of cigarettes, has a SCSI plug on one end for your SCSI device, and a firewire port on the other end to lead to your computer. There is also a power adapter (included) that provides power to the SCSI end of things.

Though discontinued by Orange, it is now sold under other brand names, such as Belkin.

Hope this helps.

Cheers.
