For Sale: 32X DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive

I am selling the drive that came with my new Dual 1.25 GHz PowerMac because I bought a Pioneer DVR-105 DVD-R. The model number is SD-R1312 made by Toshiba and is in new condition. It burns CD-R at 32X which is under 3 minutes for a 650MB CD.

I am asking $100 which includes shipping. I also have a silver external Firewire case that is very "mac looking" for it for an additional $40 if you can't put it inside your mac. Perfect for people with older G4 iMacs and eMacs.

That's quite a high price. I saw one at NewEgg (an LG model, don't remember the exact number) for about $65. And it was 48x as well, not 32x. Also, I went over to XLR8YourMac.com to check for compatibility and it works fine if you just download a modified preference file. So $100 seems quite high to me.

Ok, I will sell for $60 for the bare drive or $100 with the firewire case. The same one sells for $67 at newegg.com and is currently out of stock. It is black, in "like new" condition and price includes shipping. It is doing me no good sitting in a box at my house, and I'm sure someone could benefit from it.
