I decided to part with my old SE/30.

It has the following specs

32 MB RAM (maxed out)
Ethernet card (10Base-T)
System 7.5.5 installed and functional
Apple 2x CD ROM Drive
SCSI cable and terminator
GV Mercury modem

Who wants this system and pay Mail Boxes etc. to pack and ship it?

Cool... how much to ship it to 54217, WI? I might be interested, providing shipping is $30 or less (approx).

So, you live near Green Bay? I recently moved from Madison.

On the shipping, I'll have to check, but I doubt it would be less than $30.

I would buy it from you if IcePenguin decides not to have it.

I'm in 55418. Shipping cost using any ground service is a non-issue for me.

And THANKS for offering your old hardware!

It's a neat little system, but I just don't have the time to play around with it. Before realizing that, I was going to install some form of Unix on it, in order to explore interoperability with OS X. I originally bought this machine used myself. About six years ago it acted as a very reliable email server for email distribution lists.

I'm in the process of getting a packing and shipping quote from Parcel Plus. Would the buyer be willing to make a phone appointment at the time of shipment to provide payment information?

Okay, in order to give an estimate of what it costs to ship, Parcel Plus wants the dimensions and weights of the units:

SE/30: 13.6 H x 9.6 W x 10.9 D, 19.5 lbs. (<-- based on <http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=112170>)
CD ROM drive: 2 H x 6.5 W x 12 D, 10 lbs. (<-- estimates)

I'll call Parcel Plus again on Monday to get that estimate.
