Hello,

I am selling my 15" Powerbook - superdrive. I bought it in January and have since upgraded to a 17" PB. It has several software programs pre-loader which will remain on the unit if wanted. Photoshop 7, Keynote, Final Cut Pro, Flash MX, Office And Premier. I have not used the unit very much so it is very clean. Also it has been upgraded to 1 gig of RAM. It is located in NH and can be pick up or I can ship it after payment. I am willing to use escrow service. If interested please reply or email me at bwilliams@zire.com.

I would be looking for around $2100 which is a good price considering the add'l 500Mb of RAM and of course the pre-loaded software is worth a ton but I did not figure that into the price as you would not be the registered owner of the software. However all of the software works great it is all OSX versions. There has never been any OS9 software loaded. Also I should mention that I have all of the original reciepts, boxes et. No dead pixels! If you buy a new PB you may get one; I have "picky" one on my 17" and it is a real downer, it shows up as a green dot (sometimes) and of course Apple will not fix it. Next PB I buy will be slightly used w/ no dead pixels or I will insist on inspecting it first. Back to the 15". There is one small 1/2" scratch on the unit. It would be hard to find if you were not looking for it. I have a lot of friends with PB's and most of them have quite a few scratches. This one has been used very little and kept in a soft-lining case so it really looks brand new. I am in no hurry to sell it but would move quickly if I received an acceptable offer. I would be happy to speak in person to anyone that had serious interest.

Can you perhaps post a few more details about the machine? Also, would you consider a trade for a 12" Powerbook (and maybe some cash?)

I would consider a trade for a 12" Powerbook if the terms were good. After/if I sell this Powerbook I will probably buy my daughter an iBook or possible a flat screen iMac. The 12" PB is similar to the iBook and she saw one in the Apple store and loved it. I would have to crunch to numbers so please send me an offer.

Oops I forgot more details were requested. Well I suggest that you take a look at the Apple store online. It is the 1Ghz 15" PB unit w/ superdrive and an additional 512 Mb of ram. Let me know if you have any specific questions.

Actually, that just about does it. I'm in a tough spot - I think I would definitely prefer the 15" machine, but if I buy it from Apple (with my student discount) plus an iPod (which is $354 for the 15GB one), I get a $200 rebate, which ends up being a pretty good deal. That said, how does the Powerbook + $350 sound? The machine is decked out - you can see what is in it here . Give me another day or so to think about it, but I think that is what I would be able to offer.

Another option is my Powerbook and my 20GB iPod (I bought it a couple weeks ago to see how I would like it, but I think I will return it since I like the 15GB better). However, I'd be willing to use that as the spread (it does come with a 4 year Best Buy Service Guarantee, also.)

I think I'll pass on the trade for the 12". It seems like a fair offer but for $300 I'd be better off just giving my daugher this unit. I'll wait for other cash offers. I have had a couple good offers so it looks like my PB will sell soon. Thanks.

The buyer backed out due to problems selling his current system therefore the PB is back up for sale.
