I want to trade my Powermac for a portable. I am open to an older (500+) powerbook or a new ibook (at least 800).

my powermac specs are

800mhz sonnet g4 with 2 mb ddr l3 cache (new/less that a month old)
Geforce 3 64mb video
80 gig hdd
512 mb ram
dvd drive
external firewire 32x Buslogic CDRW
Retail version of Jag 10.2.6

Can include the original processor/video card if requested. I am never home because of work/school and really need a laptop. My powermac never gets used.

reply here or get me via aim or yahoo.

I think your expectations are a bit high... Maybe the 600mhz iBook...

I have seen systems with lower specs on ebay go for approx 1100 to 1200. A new 900mhz ibook is 1299. An 800mhz ibook goes for around 1000 1200. I think that the ibook is comparable pricewise. I am probably shooting high for a pbook, but an older 667 or 500 is comparable imho. I apprecate your feedback. As always comments are welcomed.

AGP/SAWTOOTH. I can post pics of the inside if you me need to. The sawtooth has 100mhz front side bus and uses pc100 sd ram.

If you are willing to part it out a bit I'd be interested in the processor upgrade.

Sorry, I think that the system is worth more with the sonnet in place. The upgrade is only 2 weeks old. This means that it still has it's entire warranty still in place. Any one interested. I would also be willing to sell outright for 1000+ shipping. I really need an ibook or older powerbook. Right now Im typing this reply from a sorry compaq notebook from class. How nice it would be to use my fav os everywhere and not just at home. Someone, please help me out. I dont want to resort to ebay.
