TSU-

What's the age of the Powerbook? Any warranty left? I have a 6 month old 15.2, 1ghz, 1gb, 60gb, SD Powerbook in MINT condition I might be willing to trade. How much cash would I have to throw down?

FROM AUCTION: Payment accepted through PayPal (with 3% service fee surcharge)

Hey man, some friendly advice-- this goes against the PayPal user agreement and user policy. If E-Bay (who owns PayPal) notices this, they will sometimes cancel your auction.... since you don't have any bids yet I'd suggest adding that into your "shipping and handling" charge.

I had them cancel one of my auctions for saying the same thing.

Hrm... thanks for the info. Guess I'll have to just eat the fees then (since adding in PayPal fees for 3k would make the shipping and handling fee unusually high).

Bought my laptop but tried to scam me... so it's back up on eBay - or it's yours for 2800 here on MacNN (paypal costs, final value fees would probably make this my final take anyhow)! Any takers?

If I remember correctly, its not just against paypal policy to charge the buyer credit card processing fees and such, but it's also against the law.

it is... (Hence the removal of that little blurb from the auction page.) Well, actually, sort of...

I technically should be able to ask a buyer to eat the fees because there's no way for me to know whether or not I am receiving payment through a credit card or bank transfer. Zero transparency should equal zero liability in this case, especially since I only mentioned "PayPal" and not "PayPal Credit Card" payments in my original listing.

...or am I totally missing something here?
