Hi guys I am one of those "PC about to go MAC" Switchers you see on the commercials. My Windows machine finally died thanks to a power surge - so as a video editor the logical choice is to switch to Final Cut Pro 4. What I am looking for is a G4 dual 867mhz at a reasonable price. Hopefully around the 1100 to 1200 range. I don't know if there is such a deal out there, but if so I would be very interested. I would buy one of the more powerful MACS but my old machine died with no warning, so my cash flow is not quite there. Plus I have some projects due, so time is an issue. I Thought a few people might be getting ready to get rid of their G4s before the new "G5" or whatever it will be called is anounced this month.

Thanks in advance all
Jamric

Ps : looking forward to finally getting an Apple. My last Apple was an Apple IIe hehe I loved that one - wow I'm getting old

You might want to check out websites like www.dealmac.com or even www.smalldog.com

Sometimes they have refubs there that are pretty cheap. I don't know if you'll find something that is two generations old though.

Goodluck.

Thanks I have been looking all over the net including those sites. But like you said I am having trouble finding something that will work in my price range. That's why I was trying on this forum I guess. Kind of a last ditch effort. Thanks for your help.
