I'm sorry to see this go, but I find myself using VPC more then anything on this machine just to run Windows Apps that I need. In an effort to cut down on the number of gadgets in my life (Windows Laptop, Apple Laptop, Windows Desktop, Apple Desktop, Pocketpc and A Webpad0 I am triyng to sell my excess equipment and buy a tablet pc.

Heres what I'm selling:

Tibook with jaguar, SD, airport, and 1 gig RAM. This was bought as a refurbished unit in Febuary and still has a little over 7 months left on the original warranty. Comes with 2 AC adapters (one for home, one for office) The tibook is in good shape, with no dead pixels. There are a few small scratches on the bottom because 2 of the rubber feet are missing. Includes all original packing material and paperwork.

Copy of Realbasic Standard (including original CD, boxes and manuals)

Ilife (including original CD, boxes and manuals)

20 GB external firewire drive (2.5 inch)

Case

I'm hoping to sell as a bundle for $2400 /obo

email me at jcarnell@thephoenixcasino.com if interested. (or if you want to talk me out of it

Serial Number available upon request.

Thanks

Hi:

Are you considering any trade offers for the 15", or are you looking for just-cash offers?

Either way, I'd be interested in more info on the Windows laptop and the Apple desktop (if it's an Emac or a 17" flat screen Imac)

Thanks

I don't suppose the machine has AppleCare at all, does it (other than the 1yr)?

It does not, however it is still eligible for apple care. Also please remember that is still has over 6 months left of the original Apple warranty.

The laptop alone, if bought with the extra ram and ac adapter from apples store would retail for almost 3000, so this price with the extra goodies is reasonable.

I was just wondering, in so much that they might be more willing to replace the feet under AppleCare than otherwise. Hmm, I don't suppose you could give Apple a call and at least see if they'd be willing to do it?

Also, would you be willing to lower the price if I didn't want any extras besides the AC adapter? Trying to fit this into my meager college budget (I should be getting $1900 from the sale of my AlPB, hopefully...) I don't really need RealBasic, the firewire drive, iLife, the case, or the PDA...

OK $2200, quickly takes, just the powerbook and the extra AC adapter. I've found my tablet pc I want, and I want it now.

(Of course it doesn't hurt that I just got a refurbed 12 inch AI for $1050)

First $2200 takes the cake.

Makes one wonder how much you paid for the Powerbook initially...

Oh, and by the way - do you have any pictures of the unit at all? Does it have any heat/noise problems? How severe are the scratches on the bottom, and are there any anywhere else on the machine?

DAMn, sons of , holy crap, pice of s...

Sorry little rant. When I went to go pick up my new little AI this morning, I had the dumb idea to actually have them turn it on before I paid. Turns out the damn backlight was broken. I knew that deal was too good to be true.

Oh well. The powerbook is still for sale, I do have pictures I can email, and it has no heat, fan problems.

Thanks, but I really need to get the cash out of this so I can turn it to the tablet pc.

I've got a little money from the company to put into a 12 inch AI or ibook, and my goal is to end up with one of each, a 12 inch apple something (ibook or 12 AI) AND a tablet pc. I still need an apple for development work, but this way i can pare down my GIUD* quotient from 5 to 2.

The Apple Saga continues. I picked up an ibook 900 today, so I'm ready for my tablet without giving up my OS X jones.

OK you all talked me into it...

MAKE AN OFFER,

either for just the laptop or the whole bundle. You all know how much this system is worth, so no reasonable offers refused.

Just a word to the wise, Quicker payment can get you a better price.

Well, I've got $1900 from the sale of my AlPB, if you're willing to accept that. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "fast payment", though.

Pictures are available here. The scratches are minor, and can be seen in the photo of the unit upside down, in the lower left corner
