Hi folks,

I have another non-computer related item for sale here. It's yet another piece of sports equipment that's only collecting dust (actually serving as a clothes hanger) and needs to go to free up some space. It's a Bowflex Power Pro XT with the leg attachment and the extension bar attachment (this is actually an $80 upgrade for the upper part of the unit, so that you can extend it outward when doing benchpress-like exercises). Other than that it's all stock. It cost me just over $1400 shipped about a year and a half ago. You can find all of the specs here. I still have all of the accessories that came with it, including the training manual. This unit was used very lightly - it was always confined to my room and due to the fact that I never had enough space to keep it extended all the time, it spent most of its life assembled, as a sort of coat hanger. Needless to say, it's in excellent condition - no damage, no nothing...ust a little dusty. I now go to the gym regularly and prefer it because it appears to make it easier for me disciplined and go on a fairly regular schedule, something I couldn't seem to do at home. Although the unit is very compact when assembled, it's best/easiest to have it fully assembled the whole time. This is great for someone who has a basement or an altogether separate room for it. It's a pain in the neck to have to assemble it and then put it away constantly (although it's very easy to do).
Also, the boxflex is quite effective. If you stick to a work-out schedule and have a good diet, you will see results within three months for sure...significant reults, even. It's a worthwhile piece of equipment.

Anyway...As I mentioned, the unit was lightly used and is in excellent condition. I will not ship this, it's available for local pickup only. You would need to come down to Midwood, Brooklyn and pick this up. I would disassemble and clean it and help you carry it out. Obviously, it would also be possible to see it in action.

I would like to get $850 for this. I'm slightly flexible on that price, and could also accept an iBook in trade for it. Depending on the iBook, I might be willing to add cash. The only musts for the iBook are a 12" screen, combo drive and a 700+Mhz CPU.

Please LMK if you need anything else. I can provide actual pics via email.

It's not really a matter of me not wanting to ship - it's more about the proper packaging materials, which I don't have.

How about $700 and meeting me halfway in Hartford, CT (I live in central MA)? I'd also have to be sure this thing fits in my tiny car. What are the dimensions?

That's two major compromises...

$700 is just too low for this anyway, so thanks, but no thanks.
