Well, a mistake by a well known computer manufacturer could yield a $100 savings for someone here.
I ordered a Sony DSC-F717 digital camera from Dell late last week. I was given an estimated ship date via email after the order was process two days later (Saturday) of July 29th. I couldn't wait that long, so I bought one locally on Sunday. To my surprise, UPS showed up yesterday with my 717 from Dell. Upon calling Dell, I was informed no returns without a 15% restock fee. Needless to say that's the last thing I'll buy from Dell.
So, here I sit with a new, sealed, unopened Sony F717 camera in the Dell packing box. These sell for $799 in the stores. You can check the various digicam sites for reviews, but this is one nice camera. I'm not going to list the specs here. Check cnet.com for user comments, this camera is highly rated.
Someone please take this off my hands for $700. I'll grudgingly accept paypal (see my thread in the Lounge for details on that story). If you pay via money order or cashiers check I will throw in shipping and insurance, otherwise, you will pay shipping and insurance from central Ohio.
Thanks all. Others here can vouch for my seller credibility, and I can provide my ebay handle with 100% positive seller feedback of 24.
