Hey! Well if you've read in my other "FS" thread here in the Marketplace, you'll see I got a killer deal on a Dual 1.25Ghz machine and I want to max out the RAM when it arrives, so I'm in the market for 1.5gigs of PC2700 DDR RAM to take the total RAM to 2gigs.

Anyone selling their RAM? Just post here, PM me, or email me at darrenmurph "at" mchsi.com or all 3 for the fastest response...thanks!

My RAM's not for sale, but check out Circuit City and Best Buy each week. Recently, they've been selling their Kingston, PNY, and K-Byte 512 MB PC2700 DDR 333 RAM for $40 after sale and rebate.

Each store seems to sell different brands each week at that price. I'm not sure why. This week is Circuit City's turn, but the deal may end soon or be over.

I was able to purchase 1 GB of RAM for $80 this way. Good luck with your search!

Yeah, I've noticed that...but I'm worried that the two $20 rebates will only work on ONE stick of RAM, and the other 2 sticks will cost full price...does the rebate work on each stick?

If you send the rebates to different addresses (have someone else purchase one for you), you could probably pick up 2-3 sticks. I think the rebates are limited to 1 per address (read carefully!). What I did was to buy one at Best Buy one week (PNY), then purchase another the following week (Kingston). Now Circuit City has a deal with Kingston. These Best Buy deals were separate, so I believe it's OK (still waiting for rebates). Hopefully, I didn't get screwed.

Otherwise, seems like 512 MB RAM runs around $60-80 at the low end for various RAM (name and generic).

watch the weekly sale papers. I got a stick of 512 from circuit city, and another stick 512 from best buy, each for ~$40 after rebate. This was PNY PC2700 ram. Both sticks work flawlessly in my G4.

I purchased a new still sealed in the static bag 512MB memory stick that is labeled 512MB PC 2700 / PB G4 DDR 333MHz / 200pin. The label on the actual memory chip has the same but without the "PB." I presume this will work on the G4 towers too.

It was purchased from Elite Computers, an authorized Apple Dealer who I believe sells only Apple memory. The brand on the label is "VIT." I was holding on to it in hopes that the new aluminum 15" (whenever it comes out) may use the same memory but that may not be the case so I'm selling it.

$140 shipped. Email me at laseca@yahoo.com if you're interested.
That won't work in the tower.
