If you've decided to sell them, be sure to sell them ASAP before the new 15" revision arrive which should be anytime soon.

You could get a killing for that setup on eBay...

However, here, with all those included accessories, I'd say you could fetch at least $2,300+. It may be a little more difficult to find someone interested in ALL of your items (like the iPod and Sound Sticks) and you may wanna sell those seperately. Good luck!

P.S. - Sell *soon* before the new 15" AlBooks arrive & drop the price of your current machine.

Well, the fees aren't exactly hidden, they're there if you read the Selling Fees page.

eBay yeilds a much higher selling price than these forums do for one major reason: eBayers, in general, don't pay close attention to the trends/pricing involved with Macs like the addicts on the boards do. This translates into people on eBay paying much more for a product than a knowledgable forums member will. So although you'll have a selling fee to handle, you'll make more on eBay to actually pay that off & then some. I sold my 17" PB & accessories on eBay and actually MADE money off of the deal, even though everything was used for an entire month.

I'd sell them seperately, and on eBay. I got 1,325 for my iBook (they retail for 1,295) and 82.22 for my Airport card. eBayers, go figure.

As for charges, i sold my iBook outright at a fixed price, which cost me 30$ to list. I listed my Airport card NR at 1$, which cost me 30¢. Low initial prices generate more interest, and you get more hits and competition, thus higher prices.

That was just your listing fee. Once item sells you pay approx 3% to eBay and another 3% to PayPal if it is purchased through them. So you sell an item for $2000. and buyer pays for it by PayPal (Charge Card) you end up paying $120. plus what ever it cost you to list it. RIPCITY!!! Those guys at eBay must be kazillionaires. And now they also own PayPal.

The only problem is that his setup is the *current* model of the TiBook, and anything current is not going to be as sellable on eBay anymore due to all the fraudulent auctions. Type PowerBook G4 into search and 3/4 of the auctions that come up will probably be fraudulent.

Once the machine is no longer current, and enough time has passed, the fraud goes down (as they move to "the next big thing"), but that also means you won't be able to get as much for it.

Right, I forgot to mention that. The gist was, get it listed as cheap as possible, then get the highest price you can. You get higher prices on ebay, but it costs you more.
