Hi, just curious what people might offer to trade for my Cube, which is a G4 450 (upgradable to a G4 1.2, 1.4 soon from what I here), Upgraded 640 RAM (upgradable to 1.5GB), Upgraded 40GB HD, Cube speakers, Pro KB and pro mouse both black, also have original Cube box.

I'm not really looking for portability (well ok, depends on what you have to offer), rather looking for a desktop. Like I said this is mainly an interest check as I'm not sure I wanto part with my Cube just yet.

Reach me here.

I have a G3/400 with 126 GB's hard drive space (spanned over 3 drives), 1 GB of RAM, a Sonnet ATA/66 IDE controller, two graphics cards (Radeon 7000 with DVI, VGA, and video out, and a Rage 128 with vga, supports 3 monitors total), RCA video inputs, and 16x DVD.

I'm looking for a cube and this is the best I have to offer. I'd be willing to trade.

somebody just sold a cube for $500...

I think $850-1000 is a bit high. Those everymac prices tend to be higher than most. I'd say he could get $750 TOPS.

That's from a 'regular' buyer, I'm not counting the thousands of cube fanatics (it is an awesome little machine I must admit.)...

daSlivetz- I'd say keep it and pop a 1ghz G4 in it, and maybe up the ram and change the video card. They'll probably never make another Cube...

I'd agree. 750-800 at the highest. I bought a default setup 450G4, 20gig hd, 256gig ram for 650 a couple weeks ago, and I thought I got a deal

$1200 is fairly accurate for yours, it was crazy-upgraded.

His is almost a stock (with the exception of that hard drive); it isn't worth $1000-1200

Exactly. If you consider a base cube is roughly worth 650-750, then add in one stick of 512 ram (70ish new) and a 40gig hd (30 new?), you'll barely get to 850, if that.

Not really...you first have to consider his GeForce "3" is worth over $300 alone (eBay value), AND, he threw in a ton of accessories. I had *no* accessories with mine, and basically only my processor, RAM, and HD were upgraded. I'd say $1200 for his was fair as well.

I think we are talking about different computers... I'm saying the original poster's cube isn't worth $1000-1200. His is basically a stock unit.

I agree that yours and ?ben's? could fetch higher because of the upgrades you guys put in. Still, $1200 is a lot of dough for a single g4...

Completely off topic here, but where could one find better video cards for a cube, besides eBay?

thanks,

g

Besides eBay, online merchants, pulls from a buddy's tower, or local classifieds. Any other offers?
