Everyone,
Long time listener, first time poster :-)
I do alot of traveling and recently had an incident which resulted in a small blemish on my 17" PowerBook. this convinced me that the 17" is too big for the amount of travel I am engaged in. As a result, I am faced with the decision to downgrade my 17-inch beauty for a 15-inch or smaller Powerbook with similar specs.
Apple charges quite a bit for labor and parts, so it would require replacing the entire bottom casing to return this laptop to pristine condition. (Estimate $100 for the Aluminum Bottom). I can send photos, but the scratches are pretty minor.
At this point, I would prefer the 15" AL PowerBook with the backlit keyboard and Super Drive, but if someone has a good offer, I'll consider the Rev. B 12" Aluminum as long as it has the SuperDrive and more RAM.
Other than the small scuff indicated earlier (I could send a picture, if that's a concern), this model has:
1 GB RAM,
60 GB 5400-RPM HD
Airport Extreme
Bluetooth
SuperDrive (2x)
Additional Battery, so that's two batteries
All Original software, packaging and Accessories
and is otherwise in perfect condition. Currently loaded with 10.2.8.
I am also including, at no charge, a 17" leather slimline case, 17" Brenthaven carrying case, and the expandable Airport Extreme base station. This is all extra stuff I have acquired that I'll throw in to sweeten the deal even further.
If it is possible to transfer the existing AppleCare agreement, I'll throw that in as well.
Of course, all original packaging is included, as well as FEDEX Overnight delivery.
Let me know if you're interested! I'm more than willing to provide further details on request. I'm based in Milwaukee, WI.
Photos on request.
