Hello all,

From this forum I bought a mac g3 blue and white for $270. I paid for it approx. 1.5 months ago. Since then, the seller has offered to refund my money because the machine is broken (discovered before the machine was sent). Despite waiting around and checking my mail, I have not seen any refund as of yet.

I have been in communication with the seller but after a certain date (say two weeks ago) they stopped communicating. They are, however, still posting on this forum.

Any advice on how to get my money back? And seller, if you are reading this, private message me.

Thanks for any and all help!

Release their forum user name to us. Let us institute some martial law...

Seriously though, I would definately make contact with the moderators and fill them in on the situation. Send copies of any e-mail conversations that will prove your side of the story. Then let the moderators see what they can do.

The more extreme option two is to use what ever personal information you have about the seller (Address, phone number, name...) and combine them with the powers of the internet to find out their place of work or other family they might have. So if worse comes to worse, you could possibly contact the employer of this person and see if their boss has anything to say. Same goes for contacting any family this person might have.

Option three: Contact this persons local police department.

But I would go through the moderators first and let them see if they can handle this.

Whatever happens, good luck to you.

How do I go about contacting the mods?

I don't want to click the report abuse button since that doesn't seem appropriate (spam, etc).

Right above your name on the main marketplace page you will see Moderated by: Just choose one of the names and send them either email, or a pm...maybe even both.

If all of the above fail Try here

Then report him for mail fraud if you used a Postal Money order.

Take him to Small Claims Court.

And if you are still mad, report him to the IRS for not reporting this as an income...

That should keep him busy...
