I dont care if the drive is 2x 4x 8x or 72x. It can even be one of those old caddy systems. I'm looking for an external CD-ROM device that is plug and play with OS 8.1 (or if it comes with a floppy with drivers, thats cool too). It doesn't even need to be mac bootable. If you have one that you're just DYING to get off your desk or out of your closet, I'll pay shipping costs (USPS parcel post) plus the cost of an espresso ($3) for your trouble.

I have a couple. Let me check on the speeds. I believe that they are actually CDR but don't have software. I used one on a 8500 and it worked just fine.
