Hey, looking for a cheap (900 shipped) quicksilver or mdd powermac. Specs aren't that important--price is. I would get a sawtooth, but I *hate* their looks. I'm not sure if this is reasonable, though. Basically, I want something to hold me over to college next year (august '04), when I'll upgrade to a new powerbook. Not sure if this is an unreasonable price or not.
Thanks!

PS: sorry if my username makes it more difficult to trust me...i have ebay user feedback as arthur_etchells also, my area code is 30004 (georgia) if that helps for estimating shipping costs.

ok, this thread's gotten 20 views, but no one has posted--is $800 shipped too steep for a low end mdd or quicksilver powermac? It would be helpful to know whether this is the reason no one has replied or that no one has a low-end powermac?

You'll more than likely only find older G4s for that price range (400-667MHz models). The QS and especially the MDD G4s are still hovering in the $900+ range.

im really looking for a qs or mdd in the $900 range, and this is really the upper limit. i might spring for an emac at 600-800, though. that powerbook deal a little while ago was incredible but unfortunately i got in late. anyone else with a cheaper powermac?
