Unfortunately because thread crapping does seem to be tolerated around here, I just started a new one. Please see one of my newer posts.

I removed the items that have sold and added prices since everyone kept asking "What would you like for the _________?"
If $2154 doesn't sound good to you, make an offer.

$2154.00
I used to say "If you are seriously interested, tell me what you think is fair."
and people would still write "I am interested in the _______, how much would you like for it?"
So I decided since no one can seemed to notice that part or decide for themselves what a fair price was, I would like just a little over two grand.
If that price doesn't seem like a fair one, let me know what you think is.
I am now in full complaince with the board rules so please keep all pricing questions to email as the rules state. (since I have already gotten yelled at I am trying to be a good MacTraderBoy)

So here's a free bump...
in return for an answer.
Do you really think people will
a) buy at these crazy "I'm just doing this to comply with the rules" prices?
b) Do you think people want to buy from you when you have a confrontational attitude and are not serious about providing pricing information?
I think people are interested in your products. But, the fair price offer works on BOTH sides. Please take what you consider a fair price for say, the RAM, and put that down and not $2154.
Thanks.

Geeze, MacTraderBoy. Some people around here have no freaking sense of humor or charity. Sad, isn't it.

All I know is I follow the rules and have a sense of humor and people start crapping in my threads. "Please keep any pricing concerns to PM or email. Thread crapping will not be tolerated."
I am being considerate by basically saying "Hey, I am an honest, no hassle seller. Tell me what you think is a fair price and we won't play the games." I respond to email promptly and even when I don't accept an offer, I am polite and thankful for their interest. Obviously some people must like it because I have perfect feedback and have sold quite a few items in the last few days (including to the moderator of a more well known Mac classifieds list that will go unnamed).
Oh well, there are always some malcontents that want to make others as miserable a human being as they are.
Seriously though. I realize that the internet is a buyer's market. You go on eBay and the buyers set the price. If the seller sets it to high they don't bid. For that matter, if a buyer doesn't like the price anywhere online, they go somewhere else.
This isn't a car dealership with the only Pacific Blue Toyota MR-2 in the state. I cannot sit you people down and say "Sign here, make your check out for this amount or don't waste my time."
When I did set a price for say $75 people would email saying "Will you take $50 for it?". The only difference between typing "I won't pay $75 but I will give you $50" and saying "I won't pay $2154 but I will give you $50." is that in the latter you have to type two extra numbers.
So if you all are going to try and haggle, why not just tell me what you think is fair and stop playing the games????

I'll just restate the fact that everyone needs to keep pricing concerns to PM or email. Thanks.

Steve, thanks for the effort but th0se two have done this more than once. It seems a few clues aren't enough for them to understand. I think they need to spend a time out in the Thinking Chair.
