I have asked in emails to you guys but not got an answer.

Why can't we use the delete button on the edit post page to delete our old threads?

It certainly would help keep the board more organized and save the time of searching through items that were already sold.

The reason is simple; if you delete the first post in a thread, it deletes the entire thread. That means that the thread starter chooses if and when a thread disappears. what about everyone else that has added useful content to that thread? Or people that could benefit from information by searching that thread later. We very rarely delete threads here. Content may be edited, and a thread locked, but hardly ever deleted.

Alright, that makes sense but what about all the old threads with items that have been sold or that people have crapped in?

Supposedly "thread crapping will not be tolerated". The first time I figured the moderators would do something about it. Then it happened a second time by the same two people as the first. Either you guys don't really care or maybe it favoritism, I don't know.

What I do know is my PMs/emails to the moderators go unanswered and it seems I have to fix my own thread by deleting it and starting over.
