Are we allowed to post good deals at retail outlets?

I know of a good deal on the 1ghz 17" Powerbooks at a retail outlet that I would like to post, just to share what I've found and help people out... however, I don't know if it is allowed.

The problem is, this deal is even better (in my eyes) that some of the items people have posted for sale here.

They are claimed to be 'refurbished'... but I talked with them and from what it sounds like is they bought another company that had a lot of Mac products. From what I can gather, it looks like the company sent the products back to apple to get 'refurbished'. It looks like they were opened, tested, put back in the box, and sent back to the company to be sold. So I don't know if they are considered 'refurbished' really.

So, two questions...
1. Is it ok to post these deals? I don't work for the retail company but I bought one of these powerbooks. Actually, I bought one and the airport extreme wasn't working. I returned it and got another. As of Saturday afternoon they still had 15, but it might be dropping quick.

2. Does anyone know how to tell when an item has been 'refurbished' from apple? These came in a brown box, inside the brown box was the original box. The boxes were opened inside, the powerbooks were opened from their little styrofoam things, and the power brick looks to have been used because the cord was unwrapped. Everything else was sealed. Is there a way to know if Apple actually did refurbish them? You still get a 30 day return on these items incase you aren't satisfied.

I guess even if I'm not allowed to post, people can PM me and I will tell you where to get it and how much. Actually, I can tell you how much here I think. It was $1737.09 before tax (exactly $1850 with tax, for me).

The deal worked out well for me, but YMMV. But I didn't think it would hurt to share this with everyone. From what I've been reading, $1737 for a 1.0 PB G4 17" model is a good price.

Thanks!

I didn't see anything against that in the rules for posting. Others (and myself) regularly post links to commercial websites for info/pics/comparisons.
