Ahoy,

Been lurking for a while and finally decided to post. I've been stuck using a decktop PC for the few years here at Uni , but want to get the mobility of a notebook and return to my Mac roots.

If anyone could cut me a deal on a good machine for less than a 1000. I saw a great deal on the last gen g3 ibooks at Best Buy for 699, but it sold out while processing my order. Blimey! PM me if you know of something I should consider.

cant you buy a NEW G4 iBook for less then 1000 with the education discount?

i think theres one for 899

Go to Apple.com and visit the special deals section of the Online Store. Refurbished G3 iBooks for $800 and PowerBooks for $1300 or so.
