Biggest cheapskate in the world here. I tried to repair the dead battery that came with my mystery iBook. I took it apart and found two leaking cells. The rest seem to still be holding voltage; no idea about how much current they could deliver. I found new ones online for $9.00 apiece and ordered two. No solder tabs but I found a safe way to connect wires to them. Yes, I know Li-Ion batteries are dangerous to heat up with a soldering iron. While installing them I shorted out something on the circuit board and fried a tiny chip (no number on it).
Common sense tells me I should stop right now but I have $20 worth of new cells sitting right here and no way to use them. I want your dead battery so I can pull the circuit board out of it.
I'll pay for the cheapest shipping method you can think of but that's it.
