800Mhz Apple IMAC with 15" LCD
Superdrive (DVD burner)
640MB SDRAM
60GB hard drive
Jaguar 10.2.8 OS

I bought this computer because my research professor uses Apple everything and I wanted to be completely compatible. The big problem is that I could not get all the expensive chemistry software onto it due to license restrictions. I just did a complete hard drive reformat and reinstallation of OS and all standard programs including updates. It would come with all original manuals, CD's, cables, brand new apple keyboard, apple pro mouse, etc. The LCD screen is in immaculate condition and DVD works just fine.

Here's the unfortunate part as to why the price is so low. As all of you know the IMAC has a metal arm that holds up the LCD screen, the bolt that holds the lower part of the arm came out during shipping to my new home in Oregon. I put a piece of tape around it, and it looks and works just fine. The movement of the monitor is still very fluid. To be on the safe side, the local MAC Store did an extensive diagnostic on it (taking it apart and testing each component) and there was no damage other damage. I would fix it now but the estimate I got said they would only replace the arm and it would cost $300! So there is the nuts and bolts. I'm sure you guys will have alot of questions for me so I'll do my best to edit the post as questions arise. The only digital camera I have is the one listed below so the quality of the pics will be pretty bad but I'll email to you if you want. I could also scan the receipt I got from the MAC Store if anyone wants proof.

The refurbished IMACs exactly like this one are going for $1049 on the apple website so since it would cost me $300 to fix the arm, I'll sell it for $725 + shipping. But like I said, it works great and has really no noticable difference from the IMAC I use in my lab. You can pick it up to save shipping if anyone lives around Corvallis, OR. Feel free to make offers and ask questions. Contact me via PM or at boashburn@ucdavis.edu

Okay folks, due to some unfortunate occurances in kuback's life, he could not complete the payment of the Imac so it so back up for sale.

Unfortunately I no longer have the emails various members have sent me regarding offers and additional information as I was very sure that it was sold. To be sure it gets sold this time, I will only accept either the whole payment via instant transfer paypal or an MO for the whole payment then ship. The price still stands at $725 + the actual cost of shipping to be chosen by you.

I do have two nice high quality pictures of the Imac + all accessories and a close up of the neck I can email to those interested.

Good luck! Some lucky person will get a great deal on a nice Imac.

Any chance you'd be willing to trade for a 1.8Ghz Compaq P4 notebook? If so, let me know and I'll give you the specs.
