Another thing that REALLY interests me: The 12-inch 867 MHz PowerBooks. I just need a combo drive, so if you have one of these, it's almost guaranteed that I'll trade. Email or write back if you have anything!

You'll probably want to mention the video card stats (as a lot of wintel laptops have crappy main-memory-sharing chipsets that don't do 3d gaming or apps very well)...
I looked up your Dell Inspiron 5100 (link: http://reviews-zdnet.com.com/Dell_In...html?tag=aisle )
and found that is has an ATI Radeon 7500 (the same card in the 667/800 G4 Powerbooks and the 800 G3 Ibooks) with 32 MB video ram so this thing should be decent for gaming type apps....

Well, I am not sure what others are going to say, but I think that laptop (from what I can tell on eBay) is worth about $800, maybe a little more with the extra ram. PC's dont hold there value much. So looking to trade for a 12in 867 might be a little overkill.
In my opinion, I would say to sell that machine outright and look for a good deal on a refurb iBook or something. Whatever you can afford.
Thats just my .02 tho.
Good luck with it.
Rob

Oh.
I was just going to ask if it was a 16MB GeForce or Radeon. But if I had read Wildcards second paragraph about it being a R7500, I wouldn't have had to asked.

Rob, I didn't notice your post at first...thank you for the advice. I've been seeing these go for about $900 on eBay, some for more, some for less. I added the RAM about a week and a half ago (to 1 GB). I paid $232 from Crucial to do so.
Because a few people have asked me to post a price, I would also accept $1000 + shipping for it. As always, price is negotiable...but this does come with a case, and I can throw in a lot of other goodies that you might either be able to use or sell, including: DLink 802.11b wireless card, 2 128 MB PC2100 SODIMMS pulled from the Dell to make 1 GB RAM, desktop PC100 RAM, etc. Please let me know.
Thanks,
Aaron Baker
