I have 1 UNOPENED 512MB stick from Apple that I need to sell. I upgraded my PB and didn't need the other stick. Apple wants to take 15% off if I return it . The PayPal (preferred method of payment) fee of appoximately 3% is a much better deal. I'm asking the going price - $300.00 firm. Please email me if you are interested. I will ship it out as soon as I receive payment. I just want to recover my costs.

Is that high? I thought I saw similar ram modules for cheaper perhaps it was a different type or of lower quality.

Mike - that's what Apple sells it for currently. here's the link to the item on their site and I have a copy of the receipt for confirmation.

Since I am reselling and you'll save on tax, I figure its a good deal.

Link

Thanks,
Russ

Is that G5 ram? That is, PC3200 w/ ECC? If its just plain jane PC2700 you might want to double check your pricing comparisons.

Your link doesn't work, but I went to apple and sure enough 300 for a PB. I guess I was a little out of touch there for memory prices.

Apple RAM is always overpriced. Use www.ramseeker.com to compare prices and get a better deal. But hey, good luck selling the chip

Thanks all - RAM has been sold. And yes, for $300. I've always had poor luck with aftermarket RAM so I stick with Apple's. Guess I'm helping to pay for Steve's new house

Congrats on the sale, sad to hear about your experience with after market RAM.
