In brief, we get old bicycles and parts donated and rebuild/resell them and make our workspace and tools available to the public to learn about maintaining their bikes.
We are a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) public charity, and I can provide any relevant paperwork to that effect, so if someone donates a computer to us, he/she can deduct the resale value of the Mac on his/her income tax return.
I just need something that can run OS X without having to do any heavy lifting. We'd pretty much just use it for bookkeeping, PIM stuff, and letter-writing. Perhaps internet if we can afford access.
