umm.. if unopened why don't you just return them to the store you got them from? It seems like a crazy good deal, I just priced it on the online apple store and it gave me 4,160 for your g5 package. What's up with that? I might be interested on buying just to resell on ebay. Where'd you get them from and why are you selling?

Nothing is "off" as you say...

I do tons of side consulting work.. last tax year ('02)I took a massive tax hit because I had tons of cash income from various sources as 1099-MISC's

This year for alot of my bigger services I got equipment instead..that way I have less 1099's to deal with..They put it down as an expense instead..

My accountant got me the whole G5 setup another client the Powerbook...I got the powerbook first..and the G5 second.. used both realized I didnt really need them I was just fine with my IMAC still..

So I'm selling them..

I tried ebay...nothing but scam artists there.. the "winner" of my bid sent me a laser check from some credit union.. it was a very bad forgery.

I'd be more than willing to split the costs on www.escrow.com to ensure safety for both parties.

I have excellent feedback on Heatware.

Not sure why I'm being harrassed and being infered as a scammer of some sort..at my usual PC-centric forum this behavior is generally frowned upon unless the poster has proof.

I will exchange all contact info via email with interested buyers..

I will do local pickup..meet halfway at a reasonable distance..

I will also again split the transaction costs on www.escrow.com to ensure the security for both parties involved in the transaction.

I will even ship first if the buyer has high enough heatware and references.

I have excellent feedback and can provide references.

for some reason, at mac forums people are a little more skeptical of users that don't have a high post count. Probably has more to do with the higher price of goods being sold than the actual user doing business.

anyway, for people that don't know, heatware is a great place for references. Ebay works, but for sure isn't great. Beerology is another place, but only works for people operating on the arstechnica forums. Point being, if he has good heatware, he's most likely a great trader.

following all this,
*bump*
good luck selling

Stop crapping the thread. Nothing sounds "off" IMO, and it is none of your business to voice your opinion in someone's thread, unless you are intested in the products.

Keep all of that crap to PM or email. Thanks!

Thanks for the back story, your first post was a little short on details so I just wanted to hear a little more about the machines. I have someone who may be interested in the monitor and I might be interested in replacing my g4. I'll do some pondering and let you know.

I'm in san francisco if you wanted to meet halfway what would that be, nebraska? jk.

problem I have with the g5 is it's the lowest model with the highest upgrades, for that money I'd rather have the highest model with the lowest upgrades. But good luck.
