This is a bit of a long shot - but someone might find a use for this. I have a 500 MHz G4-upgraded iMac DV SE (originally a graphite 400 MHz G3). I no longer have a use for this machine.

It is flawed in the sense that it has stability problems running OSX - it has frequent and random kernel panics and crashes when running OSX, basically rendering it unusable for OSX. (A result of the G4 upgrade). It runs OS9 just fine.

I've tried reinstalls, RAM exchanges, HD exchanges, and Firmware updates all to no avail - so I would not imagine this machine would ever be able to run OSX stably barring perhaps a logic board replacement.

I'd look at it as selling for parts or to someone who needs an inexpensive but fast OS9 machine - and would not need an OSX upgrade. Everything else about it is in perfect working order.

It has:
500 MHz G4
256 MB RAM
60 GB Hard Drive
8 MB Video RAM
FireWire
Airport Ready
OS 9.2.2 installed
no keyboard/mouse
otherwise original box

I'm thinking it's worth around US$150, but am negotiable. I'll post pics if there's any interest.

If you have a slot loading cd drive, I'll take that off of your hands.

Shouldn't that be under warranty?
