Hi, I bought this PB in August of 2003, to use as a work computer but then my work got a G4 tower for me to use, so the laptop has gotten very little use, and I figure I might as well sell it. Here are the stats:
12.1-inch TFT Display
1024x768 resolution
867MHz PowerPC G4
512K L2 cache
256MB DDR266 SDRAM
Combo Drive (DVD-ROM/CD-RW)
40GB Ultra ATA/100
NVIDIA GeForce FX
Go 5200 (32MB DDR)
Full size keyboard
10/100BASE-T Ethernet
FireWire 400
AirPort Extreme Installed
BlueTooth
Mini-DVI out
OS X 10.2 Discs
The new 12" PB retails for $1698, and offers a 133MHz faster processor, so I am asking $1348 for mine. Thats $350 off, or 20%, for a laptop that has basically sat around and seen very little use during the past 5 months.
Of course, i am open to other reasonable offers, so please respond by PM'ming me. Thanks!

I can see by his thread in this forum that amphora wants a PB at $1,000, so I can see why he wants me to lower my price. 12" PB without Airport are selling on eBay for between $1,200-1,300, so thats the area I am aiming for.
amphora, you can buy a refurb 12" PB for $1380, but once you add in tax ($200) and an Airport Extreme card ($99), you are looking at $1680 - about $350 more than what I am asking, but you are welcome to your refurb.

but....
refurbs have full warranties...
you may have better luck selling on scam-bay... people around here are usually very frugal (read smart) with their cash, (and rightfully so...)..

And I'm seriously not trying to crap, just being accurate: You only pay tax if you buy directly from Apple. Pretty much every other reseller has refurbished machines in stock and does not charge tax.

The bottom line is that he wants to sell this laptop. I understand why I got slapped upside the head but honestly the responses don't exactly seem to be flying in to get a shot at buying this machine. I've been looking for along time now and $1350 for a combo and AE 12" is more than most informed consumers are willing to pay. As previously mentioned, ebay is the way to go if you want to try and get your price. Beware of non-paying bidders and those sly fellows from indonesia.
