I've got a Dual 1.42 system here I'm wanting to sale or trade .... looking for best offer or a trade for a nice Cube or TiBook.

Here's the specs...

Apple Computer Power Mac G4 1.42 GHZ DUAL PROCESSOR system. The fastest Power Mac G4 Apple has ever made, it will easily blow past Single CPU G5 systems in the majority of real world, MP-Aware applications. This Power Mac is like new and still has several months remaining on it's original manufacturer's warranty. This is NOT refurbished, damaged, or abused in any way! It has seen EXTREMELY LIGHT USE. I purchased it brand new, in a sealed box, in late October. In fact, it still has the protective plastic film covering the mirror drive doors! You will NOT find another open 1.42 in as mint/like new condition as this. I am only selling it now as I want something a little more 'compact'. This G4 regularly cost well over $2800 purchased new as configured.

PLEASE NOTE : This is a FW800 SYSTEM. This means it has several features included that are not on the G4 systems currently sold by Apple. Not only is this system a Dual 1.42 Ghz but it has FireWire 800 port plus the option to add AirPort Extreme and an Internal Apple OEM BlueTooth Adapter. The current 1.25Ghz systems do not have these features.

Includes:

* Processor: Dual 1.42GHz PowerPC G4s

* Cache: 256Kb L2 (per CPU), 2MB L3 (per CPU)

* System bus: 167MHz

* Memory: 1.5GB (can be upgraded to 2.0 GB)

* Hard disk drive: Seagate 1200GB 7200rpm ATA

* Optical drive: Pioneer 4x SUPERDRIVE. CD & DVD Burner and also DVD Player.

* Slots: Four 64-bit PCI, One 4x AGP

* IDE BUS : One Ultra ATA/66, One ATA/100 (48-bit LBA), plus a 3rd bus for Optical Drives

* Expansion Bays: 4 internal 3.5" ATA drive bays, 2 optical drive bays

* FireWire: Two FireWire 400 ports, one FireWire 800 Port

* USB: Two ports (12-Mbps each)

* Video: ATI Radeon 9000 Pro 64 MB DDR, ADC & DVI ports for running Dual Independent displays.

* Audio: Features TWO 24-bit stereo audio out jacks, one Apple Pro Speaker mini-jack and one 16-bit input jack

* Modem: Built-in 56K V.92 modem

* Ethernet: Built-in 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet

* Wireless : AirPort Extreme Ready & Bluetooth ready

* System Software: Mac OS X version 10.2.x (I can, at buyer request, install OS X 10.3.2 and iLife 2004 assuming you already have a licensed copy but only the original 10.2 restore disc will be included.) Includes standard Apple OEM software like the iLife apps (iMovie, iPhoto, etc....) iDVD included! make your own movies! I believe QuickBooks new user Edition and several other apps are also on the Restore DVD.

* Also Includes: Power cord, Apple Pro Mouse & Pro Keyboard (NOT the cheaper standard model that ships with recent systems!) OS X Jaguar 10.2.x Software restore disc/Apple Hardware Test. Original manual/User Guide and all original packagaing. Feel free to Email Me with any questions or for pics or info!

What's your asking price for outright purchase? I have an AlBook but I think I'd like to hang onto it. I've been thinking of buying a G5 when the next rev is released but honestly I don't need the horsepower for my purposes..
