Hi, please realize that I don't currently have a computer, so that's why I'm responding to your emails later than usual. I'm glad that you received the PowerBook promptly, as I had promised. However, there've been some apparent misunderstandings.
First, no items should be missing from the shipment. Everything that I described in my posting, hardware and software, were included. Second, the metal sticker is for deterrent purposes. I'm a college student, and there's a threat of laptop theft on campus. Hence, the sticker is recommended by my university. It acts as a deterrent to potential predators, nothing more.
Lastly, I'm certain that the PowerBook's casing has been unchanged since the first day of purchase. I have used it solely as a desktop, so it hasn't traveled anywhere outside my dorm. I have tried my best to keep it in the best condition. It was in no way "screwed up" when I shipped it on Monday.
I hope these explanations can resolve your concerns.

Ok everything software and hardware was accounted for....But I know I didnt make this laptop wobbly because its obviously from heat(Rev A PB's sometimes have this problem) I understand you need security on Campus but this was not mentioned in your post...I called the security company and they said there is no way I can remove it from the laptop without it leaving markings or ripping off the paint/aluminum....I didnt mean to get out of hand but i didnt expect it to arrive like this, all I ask is for my money back and you can sell the computer elsewhere. Thanks
I have pictures as proof, this metal badge looks disgusting.

Although this is none of my business, I guess. I figured I'd chime in on the wobbly bit. I've got a Rev. B 1ghz 12in and it also is wobbly. Apple will replace them under warranty as it is a case manufacturing defect, not a heat issue. Anyway, hope ya'll get everything worked out.

Im not even sure if this laptop is under warranty now, this big metal badge looks ugly,it ruins the whole look of the laptop...And it doesnt look like this guys giving me a refund,I wish I would have bought from a more responsible seller.
I am really not trying to start a fight I just want my computer fixed.

In regard to the casing, I am certain I saw no problems when I shipped it. It never wobbled on my desk nor did it seem warped. If there were indeed these serious problems, I would have sent it to Apple long before trying to sell it. After all, it's still well within the warranty period, so it's not like I have something to hide.
The only aspect I did not mention was the metal sticker. However, I never imagined that it would cause a negative reaction. Two years ago I sold my iBook with a metal sticker as well, and there were no problems. In fact, the buyer actually appreciated the extra sense of security.
Thus, I did not mislead anyone into buying my computer. I shipped my computer in a timely manner. The hardware specifications are correct, and the shipment is not missing any items. When I shipped it out on Monday, I definitely thought it was a used computer in "excellent condition."

Well it wobbles,I have positive feedback on every forum I visit and eBay so I am obviously not making this up...And the metal sticker is a problem for me and im sure anyone that shelled out a grand for a computer would think so as well...If you can have it repaired under warranty I will clear this up.
Thus, I did not mislead anyone into buying my computer. You sent me payment without any additional inquiry beforehand, only afterward. I shipped my computer in a timely manner. The hardware specifications are correct, and the shipment is not missing any items. When I shipped it out on Monday, I undoubtedly thought it was a used computer in "excellent condition." Furthermore, I sold my only computer in order to cover my future college tuition. Even if I am to issue you a refund, I have nowhere near $1030 in my bank account to pay out. Thanks. -KW
I have every single email we sent eachother saved and I asked plenty of questions before I sent the payment and you specifically said there were no marks, dings or scratches...Im not making all this up or trying to start a fight. The computer wobbles and it has a non-removable sticker stuck on the lid this is BS...The computer works and you did ship it fast but I shouldnt have to even deal with this, all I ask is for a refund or you have it repaired under warranty. Thanks
COMPUTER WAS REPAIRED AND SPUCHEE REIMBURSED ME $50!

Tekno,
Any updates?
I feel for ya man. The seller needs to communicate any defects and a permanent sticker/ placard is definitly a defect since you cannot remove it w/o ruining the case. Then of course is the wobble, both situations the seller should have disclosed.
Hopefully Spuchee does right by you.
Mike

i think it's wrong to not describe that there is anti-theft sticke/badge or whatever and you should refund his money.
it's still a good price on the powerbook even with the badge, but obviously you failed to mention and i would even say it sounds like you purposely failed to mention the fact considering you aren't willing to offer a refund.
just my opinion, and i would hope there is some type of mutual resolve to this.

Still no update....I just want it replaced or repaired if he cant refund my money.I probably cant even make my money back on eBay without the boxes or manuals either so I really hope this is resolved because I dont think I can deal with having a beat up laptop,I sold my new iMac to buy this computer and now I regret it.
Thank you all for your concern&advice.

Hi all, I'm just a college student who sold his only computer in order to help pay for tuition. I sold a working computer with NO knowledge of any defects. Any concern or problem you should certainly contact me.
I should've mentioned the sticker indeed. However, it's unnecessary to jump the gun and insinuate that I purposely tried to manipulate and mislead.
There's absolutely no need to start a smear campaign on this forum!
I'm trying my absolute best to make the transaction go as smoothly as possible, so please don't jump to any drastic conclusions. Thank you!
P.S. It's alarming that unknown people are sending me offensive and threatening emails about this situation.

Hi all, I've already conceded that I didn't mention the sticker.
However, I really didn't see any wobbling or warping before shipping, else I would've repaired it with Apple long beforehand. After all, the computer is within warranty, so I've no reason to hide any defect.
The truth is that neither of us foresaw the problem.
Anyhow, Tekno and I have reached an amicable conclusion.
P.S. It's alarming that unknown people have sent me offensive and threatening emails about this situation. I'm glad they stopped.

OMG, I can't take it any more. Let me settle this. OK Tekno, what was your total amount you paid for this? Spuchee, would you be willing to give him any cash back? If you can give him $200. back I will buy the darn Powerbook from Tekno for the rest of the cash he paid out and we can all be on are merry way. I don't care if it has a sticker on it. If you want to keep it Tekno, why don't you pull the sticker off and get a new Macskinz for it?
