Edit (again): Name your own price! Post here or e-mail! justin5@rochester.rr.com

Now on eBay...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=4130506870

If someone here stills wants to purchase it for the $1349 and free shipping, please let me know so I can cancel the auction and save on the ending fees. Still up for trades as well!

$1,349.00 Shipped 3-day Select Shipping! Pictures Below!
--
I am selling this system here instead of eBay because of the large ending fees. (You can check my eBay feedback score of 'realsue', it is 100% positive).

Anywho, the system is in mint condition. I really took care of it (as I do with all of my Macs). It is a QuickSilver 2001 case with an upgraded processor, RAM, hard drive, video card, and optical drive.

Specs are as follows:
- 1.47 GHz PowerPC G4 w/ 2 MB DDR L3 Cache
- 1 GB (1024 MB) PC133 RAM
- 80 GB 7200 RPM Western Digital HDD w/ 8 MB Cache
- ATI Radeon 9000 Pro Video Card w/ 64 MB DDR VRAM
- 48x24x48x16 CD-RW/DVD-ROM LG ComboDrive
- Original case (in perfect condition), motherboard, and power supply.

I have very high uptime's with this machines, and it has never froze due to hardware. I usually get about 30 days of uptime before I restart due to security updates.

I still have the original Quicksilver box it came in (was an 800 MHz model to start off as) that I will ship it in, which is also in perfect shape. I will ship it with a brand new, fresh install of Mac OS X 10.3 Panther and iLife 2004 w/ GarageBand.

The Xbench score of this machine is 142, which is the same as the 1.6 GHz G5 which sells for $1,699.00 and comes with less RAM, no L3 cache, slower optical drive, no 8 MB cache on the hard drive, etc. (142 is right up there with the 1.8 GHz G5 which scores in at 155!)

NEW PRICE: $1,349.00 SHIPPED! - I accept PayPal and money orders. Thanks!

Pictures are below!

Thanks! I was thinking about getting a dual processor upgrade but the new PowerBooks are very tempting... I think it will be nice to just pick up and throw the PowerBook in the car and go.

No one interested? The Xbench score is nearly the same as a 1.6 GHz G5 (and very close behind the 1.8 GHz) but for much less! All parts are still under warranty (processor, RAM, hard drive, video card). I will hopefully get some pictures up tomorrow, but post here with any questions.

Great, every time some replies like this I keep getting second thoughts about selling it.

But I still would love to have a portable again, so... still for sale!

I think your price is too high, which is why you aren't getting any bites. $1399 for refurbished 1.6GHz G5s these days... (sure they don't have as much RAM, but they have Superdrive, warranty, etc.)

I would think that something around $1000-$1100 would be more realistic for a 3 year-old (albeit upgraded) system.

Shizay, I just traded in my iBook G4 for a PC desktop. I wish your deskstop had gone on sale much earlier.

well, i already have a al pbook 15", i wanted a pc for some personal work, got some freelance contract that required autocard. plus i am anyways thinking of getting a G4 or G5 desktop in the near future.

plus the ibook g4 had limited usage. even with 640mb ram i could not feel enough power while working in flash and photoshop.

Well what about the PowerBook G4 12" plus $100? That will include 2-3 day shipping with the Power Mac G4.

Still nothing?!

I really don't want to list this sucker on eBay (huge ending fee's on top of huge PayPal fee's). I am very open to trades of iBooks or PowerBooks, and accept offers!

Ugh, you all have forced me to make an eBay listing and put it up. (Well, will be posted Sunday evening). I'll post the link for it here... but if someone still wants to buy it here or trade, let me know.
