I posted this PowerBook here about two weeks ago with a price of $1850. I received several messages from people who were interested in getting more information and a few offers. The first message that I read was from a person who was very interested in the unit. I immediately gave him first option to purchase the unit and explained this to the other people who were interested. I should have worked with a few people in order to secure a deal I guess that was my mistake. After 2 weeks of waiting I have decided to go ahead and put the unit back up for sale and lower the price in order to secure a quick sale.
Specs:
1Ghz 17" PowerBook with all of the usual features. 60Gb, 512, Airport Extreme..... It is loaded with software like Final Cut Pro 4, PhotoShop CS, iLife 4.0, Flash MX, and a few others. I will format the computer in any way you want, I can keep it as is or I will delete any programs that you want deleted.
It is in excellent condition and looks new other than a couple of small scratches that cannot really be noticed without close inspection. It has been kept in a Brenthaven pack with a slide-in sleeve. This is were it resided most of the time.
It was not used very much because I have main computers that I use at home and at work.
If you are interested in a 17" PB this is a great deal because there is not much difference between this unit and the new ones. I used a new one recently and it did not feel much faster than mine and of course it looked exactly the same. The price that I am asking is a very good deal and is much lower than a new one. I have sold one other unit last year using the classifieds in MacNN and Powerbook central. I am selling this PB reluctantly because I need the money. It is by far the greatest laptop that I have ever owned .
Also, I am as aware as anyone about the problem with PB fraud. I will work this deal in any way that will make it secure for both parties and as I stated above I have sold one other unit on this board. At this point I am interested in selling the unit as quickly as possible and have lowered the price accordingly.
