FAQ

Q. Why am I selling it?
A.Well, first oif all the reason is that it is not mine personally, but rather a good friend's and he bought it through financing with a no interest/no payment type of deal, at a store he works at so he got a good deal on it, and he needs cash to buy a car apparently, so it was easier for him to do it this way than to go through a personal/car loan.

Q. What about payment?
A.Payment through paypal, money order, cashier's check, personal check (must wait till it clears though), or CASH.

Q. Can we meet in person for the transaction/to see the PowerBook w/Applecare?
A.Yes certainly, I live in Connecticut, if you are anywhere near me (my zip is 06604), ie New York, New Jersey, and you wanto see the PB, you are more than welcome to.

Q. Can I trust you!?!
A.I have sold many things online on various sites including here, spymac, howard forums, craigslist, and such. Many people know me online and I'm sure they would vouch for me if needed.

Q. I still don't trust you.
A.Obviously if you are serious about the transaction, I will provide you with all my contact information including cell #, adress, birth certificate, drivers liscense, personal medical records, vaccination cards, uhm- well anything that makes you feel safe that is

Q. Oh, and finally, can I lowball you?
A.No, please don't lowball me, both products are sealed, thus brand new, you know the price is unbeatable.

Q. Please?
A.No.

Q. I don't care about the powerbook, I want pics of you, can we get married, and other misc. questions.
A.Well, if you are a really really hot girl, yeah we can arrange for some of those requests

Pics
Sorry for the quality, I did not take these, my friend did with his camera phone.

you call this UNBEATABLE... ($2900) !
you must be kidding yourself, even with the Applecare.
those new powerbook are still under a limited one year warranty anyway.
you will have better luck on Ebay, not here.
people come here to find a deal
good luck .

I honestly don't think this is such a bad deal. Shipping would be free if you bought from the Applestore, but unless you're a business they will get you for at least 5% sales tax, and that adds about $140 to the purchase price. So now you're well over $2900. AND he is including the EXTRA Applecare which gives you a total of 3 YEARS of warranty, not just the original 1 year. I think you'd have a hard time finding that for less than $250 anywhere.

umm, a brand new 17" powerbook as I previously stated is 2799 + 349 for the 3 year applecare brings it up to a total of $3128.. tax here in CT for example is 6% so total would be $3315... hence you would be saving $400 .. In my case $400 is not pocket change.

Quit thread crapping. Even though you could get this package cheaper with an EDU. discount, it's not a bad deal.

Thank you sir, with edu discount, the 17 + applecare is $2748 + tax = $2912.. so yeah more or less .. but that is calculated with a 6% tax here in CT.. plus not everyone can get an edu discount.
