how can you sell "an applecare" w/o selling the product it is for?

isn't the applecare tied to a serial # of the product?....I guess not or you wouldn't be selling it, right?

what conditions would someone, or their laptop, have to meet to purchase from you such that apple would honor it?

No, just go to an apple store or a compusa. You will see the apple care boxes. You enter the serial number when you go and register the apple care warranty.

Applecare is a 3 year extension of the warranty of your powerbook, it comes in the box and is unopened, it comes with the registration cards and cd's inside because it is unregistered. In order to use the applecare your computer needs to be less than a year old and still under warranty (all powerbooks come with a year warranty). I highly suggest purchasing a warranty extension considering how much you invested in buying a powerbook. If you have any further questions you can pm me or email me. Thank you.

couldn't he have put it in a pm? and if you look at the first post it CLEARLY says OBO (or best offer) so in that regard it is thread crapping if he thought it was too high he could have just sent a pm but i'm seriously tired of people putting up these comments without reading the whole post.

i think what he did was just in the best interest of the fora. getting a fair price is in everyones best interest. dont like it? go to eBay. there are plenty of people on there who are more than happy to be overcharged.

its not like he made anything up, he just stated a fact.
