i have had my rev.b powerbook since they came out. it has been dropped twice since then too. once on the rear corner near the power plug with has made it a bit sensitive. and once on the other rear corner which caused the super drive to stop accepting discs. the screen, keyboard everything else is fine. just some cosmetic damager and the two issues above. if i were to decide to sell it what would be a fair asking price for the damaged machine? it is a rev. b, with bto 80 gig drive, super drive, and airport extreme (was that bto or included?)? I also still have the box, all the included cables, cds, and manuals which would of course be included.

I'd say $700-800
The power supply can be fixed by apple for about $200 and if it iis just case damage that stops the drive from letting discs from going in it can be unbent. Applecare is gone anyway there is no harm in trying after the power supply is fixed. The new owner can take out the super drive and sell it to recoup some of the costs.

there isn't actually a problem with the power supply. it is just that the case is deformed, kinda pushed out a little so that the plug doesn't make a perfect connection unless you position it correctly.

Then you might just want to look into the cost of having Apple replace the bottom case. It should be about 200-300. If everything is working and the case is the only thing wrong with it I wouldn't take less then 900 for the Powerbook.
The Rev A 867 is going for $999 from Apple refurb so you be the judge.
