I'm really impressed with my powerbook, but I gots myself to wanting a refurb'd dual 2.0 g5... wanting it bad. I'm wondering if I should sell my powerbook or trade it, or maybe trade it and add cash to make the deal good please tell me what you think if fair:
I have:
1 ghz, 12" Aluminum Powerbook, 32 megs ddr video, combo slot-loading drive, 768 megabytes of ddr memory, a 40 gb 4,200 rpm internal drive, a 200 GB seagate Barracude in a oxford 911 (firewire 400) aluminum case running at 7,200 rpm with a 8 meg cache, all the original cables, manuals, converters, and box. Mint screen with no dead pixels, no damage at all to the body of the powerbook. Very near to perfect battery life.
I would like:
2.0 ghz dual G5
at least a 120 GB SATA drive
at least 64 megs ddr video
at least one firewire 800 port
super-drive preferred, but i will accept combo
at least 512 megs ddr ram
little to no cosmetic damage / wear
opinions? Do you think I could do it? How much is this powerbook worth?
(also, the powerbook comes with Photoshop CS, Illustrator CS, Virtual PC, Adobe After Effects 5.5, Garage Band, The Microsoft Office 04, iMovie 4, iPhoto 4, newest iChat, Quark Express 6.0, Maya, and OS X 10.3.4)
