I've got an iBook G3 here that needs a new home. It's in good shape and ready for use. It has a 300 MHz G3 processor, a 6 GB hard drive, and 320 MB of RAM (64 MB built-in plus a 256 MB chip). The system runs great, no crashes of any sort while running Mac OS X 10.3.4. The system will come with Mac OS X 10.3.4 installed, along with all the latest updates. Also comes with the standard "yo-yo" Apple 45W power adapter. I'll also include a 6 foot (or more, if you need it..just ask) length of Ethernet cable so you can hook it up to your network.

Ports and I/O:
- USB
- Modem (standard RJ-11, 56k, v.90)
- Audio Line Out
- Ethernet (RJ-45)
- DC input
- Standard Apple CD-ROM (probably 20X or 24X)

Note that the battery in this iBook no longer holds a charge. However, it runs fine off the AC adapter. It should be fine with a new or (less-)used battery (which you can find out on eBay).

Mac OS X has a minimum RAM requirement of 128 MB. Although it is possible to go under the limit, you don't have to worry about it with this iBook. It has 320 MB of PC-100 SO-DIMM RAM, which OS X will thank you for. This machine is far from optimal for today's high powered programs like GarageBand and whatnot, but it's a nice, affordable, and small machine which would be great for people (like kids) who are new to computers and the internet. Apple's Mail and Safari programs run at a very usable rate on this machine.

If you need any other OS installed on this machine, let me know. I would be happy to install the latest version of Mac OS 9 if you intend to use this machine for Classic programs (which will run great with all the extra RAM).

Post or email me at macgyvr64@mac.com if you're interested.
