I have a slot loading iMac, and I am looking for a Airport Card for it, I don't wanna pay the outrageous prices at SmallDog, or eBay, I bought one on here for about 60 bucks but a while back ago.

Can anyone help me out, I don't want to pay the inflated prices, just cause it was discontinued.

My school has a few that they're selling for $80. Unfortunately, this is the University of Minnesota, but if you are in Chicago maybe one of the larger public universities there will have a computer store with some of them still in stock. The U of MN has a wireless campus so they encourage people to get them. Man... to think that they gave me one for free a year ago! Just amazing.

I wish they were cheaper too, but I guess that's how it goes. Stupid eBay .

Same here, pissed off at Capitalism, an elastic market for an inelastic product (as there are no other cards that will work).

These are the times that I hate ebay. Sellers aren't even mac users (not that they are all supposed to be I guess) just assholes who went and bought the last up so that they could inflate the prices.

I called the Apple store and they sent me over to support so that I could hear sorry, no can help. Told them it was silly to stop production. Does Apple think that I'll just junk my machine and buy a new just cause they don't make the cards anymore? All they did was cut off another chance to make $$. Same as with the 2x DVD-R discs....

I'm not one of those "Apple forced me to buy the new iPod 4 or Panther for the new functions" people, I just really do not understand why they stopped producing an essential product. For crying out loud, resellers are still selling "new" machines that still require them.

Enough ranting, if I found somewhere that sells them at a decent price, I'll let you know. Likewise, please.
