Hey everybody,

Just checking to see if anyone would be interested in a trade. I have been kicking around the idea of consolidating my setup into one machine which would be better for my work with clients on the road. I know it sounds backwards, wanting a larger screen for portability, but for in-office presentations it would just be easier for my job as a consultant. I have a gorgeous 12" Rev. B 1GHz AlBook 512/40/SuperDrive also with an AE card added. Includes original box and packing, software, cables, etc. Basically new condition except for one small 1/2 scratch on top. Perfect screen and no issues at all. I bought a beautiful Sony SDM-HS53 15" LCD (purchased from Circuit City, $424.00, original box, paperwork, etc. included) to expand my work area when I am in the office and the spanning is great, giving tons of screen real estate. After watching the market for a while now the values look to be pretty equal between my offerings and a 1GHz 17" in similar condition which is the machine I am looking to switch to. I would possibly consider a 15" AlBook with SD too, but not interested in a TiBook. I had several Ti's over the last few years for work and the fragility is something that I don't miss with the much sturdier Al.
So, if anyone is interested in swapping their 17" for a super nice setup with much more portability, let me know! I have pics available and for references check my Ebay Motors rating, user ID jagdaytona. You can also call 386.852.0466. I own two small companies here in Daytona Beach and have an outstanding reputation for selling high-end specialty automobiles so references are not a problem.

Thanks for looking!

Hi Hoover and thanks for the reply.

I really hadn't thought much about selling the PB outright but I am open to offers. I am seeing these listed all over the place from about $1250 to $1600. I guess if no one wants to trade after a while I would consider selling if I can find a suitable 17" in the meantime.

Let me know what you think is a fair offer.

Thanks!

Just an update...

I'll sell the PowerBook alone, without the Sony LCD for $1400. Again, in excellent condition, original box, manuals, connectors, power supply. Upgraded RAM to 512 and Airport Extreme card installed. Super Drive.

Hey Amphora,

I haven't heard anything back from you so I thought I'd try and connect with you in here. Let me know if you're still interested in the deal you offered as I am now back online (after the hurricane Charley) so you can get in touch with me here or by e-mail.

Thanks!

Terry
