this is in no way different or crippled from the other versions of Mac Office 2004, only that you need proof of educational liscensing to purchase it at this price... so get it cheap, and get it now!

as an unbiased third party..

yes, if you are a student of any kind, you are covered by the software license. technically, i believe he should ask for some sort of student id before selling, but apple rarely even does that.
