This laptop has served me well for nearly five years, but it was time to move on.

After erasing the HD, Mac OS X v10.3 has been installed (English) without all of the extra languages, BSD subsystem, developer tools, and a few other optional components, in order to save HD space. The free HD space might be as much as 700 MB. There is no other system installed.

If preferred, I can install Mac OS X v10.1.5 [and MacOS 9.2.2]; installation on separate partitions (if desired) would allow on-the-fly operating system selection (on power-up, hold down the option key). There would be a lot more free HD space (>1 GB).

The computer was dropped a couple of times which broke part of the polycarbonate enclosure by the modem and ethernet ports. This was epoxied. I never experienced any operational problems that could be attributed to the impacts.

This computer has to be run with the power adapter attached and plugged into an AC outlet.

The original battery will no longer store enough charge to allow normal operation, so the date and time need to be reset every time after start-up (it's a nuisance, I know). A replacement battery apparently will not function properly (a message stating "No batteries detected" is ultimately displayed in the battery level indicator pull-down, and an "X" is shown in the battery level indicator itself). I never bothered to see about having any kind of [repair work] done to correct the battery usage problem.

Asking $300 (or best offer) + extra for shipping (figure ~$30)
