Greets all

Alrighty, A couple months back, I sold Amphora an Xbox w/ many games. After I shipped, I told him I did not include 2 games because of their condition, they were highly scratched. I was back at College then, and told him I'd ship them to him when I returned home for the summer. Well, summer came and my brother has thrown out the 2 games because they obviously didn't work. I want to clear this all up and give Amphora a partial refund. Amphora, please send your paypal address to me at justin216@charter.net . I enjoy trading and selling here because of the atmosphere and good people, and don't wish for any of my friends, colleagues, or clients to think otherwise.

Again, I apologize to Amphora. I want to set all of this straight right here and now.

Thanks again,
Justin

EDIT: Amphora, I dug up your email address out of Paypal's records. I sent you a partial refund. Please let me know if you need anything else.

As soon as it is proven, one way or another, that the problem has been resolved I will lift your restriction.

So, Amphora, have a chat with Justin and then let me know when everything is resolved.

And thank you for being upfront Justin.

Why did it take you this long to refund his money? Why did you ignore his emails? I, as a potential buyer, would like you to know of this dishonesty before I ever attempt to deal with you in these forums again.

In all honesty, there is no excuse for it. I was selling a BT mouse on here over the summer and he recontacted me, wanting the mouse. He lives in Canada, and I didn't again want to go through the hassle to ship there, as I've did a couple times for varying members. He kept asking for me to do various things to get him the mouse, and in one of his last emails, mentioned the 2 aforementioned games, saying if I sold him the mouse, he'd forget all about those 2 damaged games. At that point, I had already sold the mouse to a member over at Anandtech, so I discontinued talking to him. I have had many, many transactions through MacNN, Anandtech, and eBay, and this is the first mishap that has occurred. Unfortunately, the way most trading/selling communities are going, there is rampant scamming as we all know. I've did the right thing, I've apologized and refunded him the money to allow him to buy said games on eBay or otherwise. I'm just waiting for him to come online to see if this helps his aggrevation with our original deal.

And another thing, I have a strict policy on my shipping practices, and under most circumstances, especially if a buyer has lots of heat or feedback, I can ship first before a payment is made if said buyer requests. I find that this is the only real way to insure that the buyer is happy with end product.

Okay, Justin has cleared up the whole situation and I have been compensated for what was not sent. In all honesty, I am frustrated that he would not even respond to tell me that he wouldn't send the items or that the mouse had been sold. I understand thast this stuff happens and it was not a huge deaal, but it would have been great if he would of just contacted me prior to this whole event when I had sent him several emails. On the other hand, he did take care of the situation, and the whole mess with the xbox trade was really out of both of our hands. Thakns to Justin for clearing this up.

Alrighty then, feel free to begin posting in the marketplace again Justin. But in the future, please try to maintain a good level of contact with people you are-having/will-have/have-had transactions with.
